For a friend

Thank you so much for all your kind comments and support for A Passion for Papertrey – it’s fabulous to see how many PTI fans there are in the UK and rest of Europe!

I know some of you have been slightly put off buying from Papertrey due to the shipping costs. In her international shipping information Nichole recommends doing what I’ve recently started to do – get together with one or even a few others and place a group order. This really saves shipping costs and you can also split any customs charges you may get. This way you may be able to take advantage of their $10 discount on orders over $100, and $20 on orders of more than $200.

It’s also worth remembering that unlike some other overseas companies, Papertrey orders are fully insured in case of loss or damage.

So here’s a quick card I made with the With Sympathy set – I repeatedly stamped the stalks with Dark Chocolate ink then stamped the flowers in my favourite PTI colour – Raspberry Fizz.

I used Fresh Alphabet to stamp the word ‘friend’ on the Raspberry Fizz saddle stitch ribbon. The cute little butterfly from the set was stamped in Raspberry Fizz and Dark Chocolate ink. I cut them out, added Stickles for some sparkle and adhered them with glue dots.

Recipe: Stamps – With Sympathy/Fresh Alphabet
Ink – Dark Chocolate/Raspberry Fizz
Card – Vintage Cream/Dark Chocolate/Raspberry Fizz
Ribbon – Raspberry Fizz saddle stitch
Other – paper piercing tool and mat/stickles

Thanks for visiting!

  1. Kate what a stunning card. What really interests me about Papertrey is the way cards can be made that are clean and not fussy yet not be plain. I adore the Raspberry Fizz. Great advice re shipping costs and I hope to do just that, join in with people and share the costs of shipping to our faraway land!
