Challenge 8 – Flowers and Flowers

So did anyone order anything from today’s release?! I am totally in love with the vintage basket set and pleased that it was still available when I went Papertrey shopping at the crack of dawn this morning!

So onto today’s challenge – this time it’s about flowers! We would like to see cards made with at least two flowers on them – it doesn’t have to be stamped flowers if you don’t have any Papertrey flower stamps – think flowers made from ribbon, punched flowers, paper or fabric flowers, doodled flowers – so long as you use at least one Papertrey product on your card and it has at least two flowers on it you will be entered into the draw to win these PTI goodies:

– A selection of 12×12 Guide Lines papers
-2 each of co-ordinating Plum Pudding, Lavender Moon and Vintage Cream Cardstock
-1 length each of Plum Pudding and Lavender Moon satin ribbon

Here is my sample:

Recipe: (Papertrey unless stated)

Stamps – Women of Life
Ink – Pure Poppy/New Leaf/Lemon Tart
Card – Stamper’s Select White/Pure Poppy
Paper – 2008 Bitty Dots in Lemon Tart and Pure Poppy
Ribbon – New Leaf Twill/Pure Poppy Swiss Dots
Vintage Buttons – New Leaf
Other – Rectangle Nestabilities (Spellbinder)/corner rounder punch (SU)/Liquid Pearls (Ranger)/

And Steph’s:

Recipe (all PTI):

Stamps – Beautiful Blooms & Everyday Classics
Cardstock, Inkpads & Vintage Buttons – Hibiscus Burst, Lemon Tart & Aqua Mist
Ribbon – Extra Fine Polka Dot Satin Hibiscus Burst

To enter please leave a comment below with a link to your card, I’m afraid we can only ship prizes within Europe. Entries must include at least one Papertrey product. You have until 9am on Monday, June 29th to enter.

Have fun!

  1. What lovely cards you made. Both are just brilliant. And the new challenge is perfect. Everybody loves flowers, right? And yes, I ordered several things, actually a lot of things. *lol* The Flourish-Set was on the top of my list followed by the lovely teapots. The baskets are so cute, but there is alot of coloring necessary, which I don´t like that much at the moment. But I´m looking forward to your basket-cards. I also ordered my first paper-set, 2 heart-punches and every colour of the buttons. Wow, I couldn´t stop myself. *lol* What a great day this is. Hugs Tina

  2. Well ladies – you've certainly set a challenge I like! Your cards are lovely. Kate, fab colour combo and you had the guts to place your main image at an angle (wish I could do that!) Steph, love your bright happy card and the use of buttons is fab – can't believe your crafting already! Aren't you still jetlagged?!? LOL!Kate, you already know what I've ordered and until it arrives I'm feeling rather skint and impatient LOL!Hugs,Aimesx

  3. Gorgeous cards ladies. Steph I am in love with your doodled flowers and Kate I love those liquid pearls on your flowers.Great challenge, I am so tempted to do more lollipop flowers but am trying to wean myself off them ha!

  4. Lovely cards ladies…well done. I don't have a card but I have a son who went to Oaklahoma today and awaiting him at his hotel is a package from PTI….with 5 sets of stamps and paper which I've never had before…my opportunity to not pay any postage, couldn't afford all these otherwise. Vintage picnic is a lovely set but sometime down the line I might just be able to afford the postage!!! I reckon if PTI opened a branch in the U.K. they would do well, what do you folks think? Any chance of a branch over here? Joyce in Northern Ireland

  5. Hi Kate & Stephhave finally taken the plunge and entered my first challenge with you using my lovely stamps I won on your blog a few weeks back, as I didn't have any PTI paper I thought I would recycle the packaging which was wrapped around the stamp set, hope it meets all the requirements.Vicki xMy card is here

  6. You told us to do flowers and I listened. 🙂 I´d love to have a lot of flowers, but I only got very few in 2 colors, yet. It´s soon got to become a lot more. *lol* Anyway, I made a card with some Prima Flowers and this "Retro-Set" had to be used for the first time, although I own it for several months. How could I neglect it? It´s perfect, just like all the others. So, here is the link to my card for this challenge:http://basteltinchen.blogspot.com/2009/06/passion-for-papertrey-2-blumen.htmlHave a wonderful day, Tina x

  7. Thanks for your inspiration! Your cards are so different in color and style, yet, I have to say I love them both!! Also a big thank-you for the great theme – perfect to ink up Friends Til the End :-)) Here's my attempt: http://dana-scraps.blogspot.com/2009/06/raspberry-suite-color-challenge-10.htmlAs for your question: no PTI order this month, but I'm confident for July 🙂 Until then, I'm proselytizing my colleagues to order with me… not so very hard, as the products speak for themselves… LOL

  8. This is my entry for the current challenge, http://auroradawn-ad.blogspot.com/2009/06/im-on-roll.html#commentsI couldn't have taken part if you lovely ladies hadn't been willing to share your lovely stash – thank you so much xxxAs for ordering … I'm also totally broke … but for different reasons … because I placed an order on the 15th LOL – I can't wait to receive my order ;0) Maybe we should all place an order together the postage cost was horendous.
