Hello and welcome to our new-look blog!! If you have been following our previous blog you will know that we started out as a place to unite PTI fans here in the UK and Europe, but we have decided to go global!! Aimes, Caryn and I decided that it was time we had a change so welcome along to the new-look A Passion for Papertrey everyone!
So from now on, our challenges are open to all. You can find more about our challenge rules here but we should point out that we are not affiliated in any way to Papertrey Ink, and purchase all the prizes ourselves.
Now, have you got time for a little story?
Four years ago I was just getting into stamping, and found this small company called Papertrey Ink who, at that time, were releasing just one or two stamp sets a month. But then came the colours, the ribbon, the dies – all bound up in an exciting monthly release that I avidly followed. I was hooked!!
Around that time I joined a couple of online forums and started a blog, the result of which was that I ‘met’ Steph, we shared my love of Papertrey. We wanted somewhere where the UK and Europe fans could come together to share creations and take part in challenges – and so A Passion for Papertrey was born (along with an endorsement from Nichole Heady herself!)
Fast forward a year or so and unfortunately Steph had to step down from the blog (she is now running her own stamp company – go girl!) so I asked my lovely friend Aimes if she would step into Steph’s shoes. Aimes and I had met on a stamping forum and hit it off immediately. Back then Aimes didn’t even have a blog (can you imagine) but I talked her into it!
Another fast forward in time and Aimes and I met Caryn, it didn’t take us long to decide that we needed her in our team…. she shared our love of stamping, PTI, Twilight and so much more! And here we are four years later! I count them as such dear friends – we have so much fun when we meet up, and I feel very lucky to have them in my life.
Which brings me on to our first challenge!! Friends are such a special part of life and to celebrate this we would like you to make a Friendship card, or other papercrafting project. Remember you just need to include at least one PTI product on your creation to enter.
I decided to make a card for Aimes and Caryn, all three of us are clear about are favourite colours – Aimes is green, Caryn is red and I am aqua! Hence the colours of this blog by the way!

{Friend} All supplies Papertrey Ink

Over to Caryn….
Hello all and welcome back to our new look challenge blog for lovers of all things Papertrey Ink (and other things too of course!!). I’m so excited to see the blog all refreshed and revamped and can’t thank Kate enough for all the work she’s put into it. I can’t take ANY credit at all so well done Kate!!
This first {of the new look blog} challenge is so appropriate for us as we’ve become really good friends through our mutual love of PTI and papercrafting (and Twilight but that’s another story!!!).

{Thinking of You}
Stamps: In Bloom
Ink: Memento London Fog
Card: Stampers Select white
Other: Linen/Canvas impression plate, ProMarkers
Over to Aimes:
Oooh what a wonderful make-over! Like Caryn, I can’t take an ounce of credit for the fabulous new-look blog and I really do owe Kate one for doing such a great job! Thanks, Kate! 🙂
So on to my challenge card. I opted to ink up a sentiment to let a friend know how amazing they are:

{Girly you Rock!}
Stamps: Signature Greetings (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Memento)
Cardstock: Kraft, Vintage Cream (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories: Butterfly Die, Dark Chocolate Button, Cream Button Twine (Papertrey Ink)/Striped Washi Tape (MT Tapes)
I’ve got a thing for washi tape at the moment; I’m sure it’s just a phase but for now, everything gets covered in the stuff – including my die cuts! 🙂
And now it’s over to you! Check out the challenge rules here. Entries close at 9am on Monday, October 29th when we will draw our winners.
To celebrate our launch the randomly-drawn winner will receive this little bundle of PTI goodies:

Fly Away Stamp Set, Heart-2-Heart Stamp Set & die, Simply Chartreuse & Melon Berry Ribbons, Victorian Lace Border Die, Six Sheets of Distressed Dots papers and a selection of cardstock.
Finally, we had some problems with our email address so now have a new one – if you haven’t had a response from an email you sent to our old address we are very sorry, please email us at apassionforpapertrey@gmail.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
Happy stamping everyone!
Kate, Aimes and Caryn xxx
