Inky Couch Love!

Happy Friday! So how’s your week been? I’ve not actually made it to work at all this week due to the ice and snow! At first it was fun, but now I’m getting kinda sick of the sight of snow and just spend my days doing housework…

…though I’ve found some spare minutes to get inky too :D!

So I decided to play along with Dawn McVey’s Raspberry Suite Colour Challenge #. Here are those all important colours:

Mmmm scrummy combo of Aqua Mist and Dark Chocolate though I wasn’t too sure about that Lemon Tart!

So still on my CAS kick of cards, I was determined to use some more scraps seeing as I spent most of this week organising them into colours (yup, that’s how bored I’ve been!) and I promised myself that I would use that cute diddy cushion stamp and give some inky love to On My Couch:

The pic is a little deceiving as this card is tiny! It’s only 2.5″ x 4.25″ and again was made from scraps. This idea originated from Betsy Veldman’s take on the Scraptastic challenge; she went even further and created the cutest envies for them too by simply cutting an A2 envie in half and stitching up the sides.

I couldn’t resist…
I have to say that I ♥ these sweet cards! So cute for secretly popping into a loved one’s lunchbox, or glovebox or any other box LOL! Speaking of ♥, I’m totally loving the new PTI ink formulation too – check out the coverage on the Aqua Mist couch *sigh*!

Ink: Aqua Mist/Dark Chocolate
Card: Vintage Cream/Lemon Tart
Others: Envelope and Sewing Machine!

Oh and have you checked out the sneak peeks for PTI’s upcoming release!? Today’s sneak peek has me the most excited – defintely raised my heartbeat a little (pun intended!)

Ooh and just one more thing before I love ya and leave ya for the weekend, has everyone received their Christmas ATCs?! If not pop us an email at because I really, really, really wanna share the pics of them all but don’t want to spoil it if you’ve not got ’em yet!

Have a fabulous weekend people! Stay safe in the snow and ice (if you’ve got it!)

Raspberry Suite #19!

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend! Such a shame it flies by way too quickly for my liking – though I’m especially excited about next weekend! If you’re wondering why, click here!

Today I decided to play along with Dawn McVey’s Raspberry Suite Colour Challenge #19. Hard to believe we’re on #19 already!
So these colours aren’t the kind I’d stick together but that’s what I like so much about these challenges! So I got thinking, and decided to use the picture of Dawn and Nicole posing beautifully in those gorgeous T-Shirts as my starting point:I hope you can tell where the T-Shirt is represented, otherwise I’ve gone wrong somewhere!

Still not sure about those buttons – they nagged me to be featured on this card but I’m not convinced they belong there! Well needless to say they’re stuck down pretty firm so they’re staying!

Card Recipe
Stamps: Fancy Flourishes, Friends ’til the End
Cardstock: Aqua Mist/Spring Moss Bitty Dot Basics/Stampers Select White
Ink: Spring Moss/Whispers Lovely Lilac/Raspberry Fizz/Aqua Mist/Dark Chocolate/Versamark
Accessories: Raspberry Fizz Polka Dot Ribbon (Reversed!)/Cuttlebug/Nestabilities/Detail Clear EP/PTI Buttons Holiday Mix

On more PTI news – Lauren Meader (who I adore – what a talented lady!) has decided to leave the PTI Senior Design Team! Though fear not, she’s on a new adventure with her own store! I can’t wait to see what PTI come up with in her place! Though Lauren could never be replaced, PTI always have such clever ideas up their sleeves so watch this space!

And finally, for all of you participating in the PTI ATC Christmas swap, you should have received an email by giving you the full deets! If you haven’t received an email yet, please email us at so we can get back to ya!

Ooops I forgot…

I dunno about you but I’m still so hyped up about the exciting news of a PTI make and take!!! A HUGE thanks to the PTI Fairy God-Mother herself, aka Steph *mwah!* Honey!

Today I’m bringing you a card that I realised I’d posted on my own blog a while back but had forgotten to post here – tut tut! I thought you may wanna check it out as it’s yet another creation oozing PTI goodness and was for a past Raspberry Suites Colour Challenge: Recipe
Stamps: Star Prints
Ink: Dark Chocolate
Card: Vintage Cream/Kraft/Summer Sunrise Bitty Box Basics
Accessories: Dark Chocolate Twill/Rustic Wood Button/Jute Rustic Twine/Nestabilities

This card was made with yet another male birthday in mind (too many males in my family for a girly crafter like me! LOL!) and the scalloped edge of the DP was made by drawing around a circle nestability repeatedly (you can use the grid on the DP to measure which is very helpful!) as I don’t own a border punch like this yet!

I’m still itching to play along with the old RSCC as I ADORED that colour combo. Kate totally rocked it don’t ya think? Definitely got me tempted to start on some Christmas card designs anyways….

Oooh and hands up – who is totally hyped up about the new PTI release countdown? Silly question I know but how adorable were those Holiday Button Bits samples?!?! Also, what an amazing idea to sell a jar of buttons with a mixture of colours in. Fab for all newbie (and old!) PTI addicts!!

Thanks so much for stopping by – hope y’all have a super duper weekend!!

A Raspberry Suites Colour Challenge

Happy Friday! I’m back again with a card that I’ve made for the current Raspberry Suites Colour Challenge! I love the way these challenges really make me think and dare me to step out of my safe and favourite colour combos! The added bonus is that ANYONE can play along so long as you have these colours in your crafting stash – it doesn’t have to be PTI products (though I’d highly recommend them ;D!)

Anyways, here are this week’s colours:They really call out autumn to me, even though that yellow is PTI’s Summer Sunrise! I don’t own any autumn themed stamps (note to self: I NEED some autumnal stamps!) so had to think again with what to play with!

I combined this colour challenge with the current Get Sketchy sketch and came up with this:I have to confess I’m not feeling the love with this card, although I’m glad I tried! Just wishing that flourish was more subtle and the sentiment bolder. I am my own worst critic aren’t I?!

I’ve also made another card for the current RSCC that I’m pleased as punch with (especially as it’s yet another masculine card!) I hope to upload this weekend when I can grab a spare moment and a decent pic of it – this weather isn’t complimenting my poor photography skills! Maybe autumn is closer than I think…

Hope you have a fab weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by and I’ll catch ya later!

Stamps – Remember/Fancy Flourishes/Damask Designs
Card – Kraft/Vintage Cream/Dark Chocolate
Paper – Summer Sunrise Bitty Dot Basics
Ribbon and Button – Dark Chocolate Twill

PTI Blog Hop

Eeek! My first post on the PTI Blog – how daunting! Seeing as I’m the new gal around here I hope you’ll be gentle with me!

Firstly can I just thank everyone for being so welcoming towards me here on the PTI blog – I feel truly blessed to not only have the opportunity to be contributing here, but to be part of such a supportive community – big hugs to you all!!

Well seeing as I’m the kinda gal that throws herself into the deep end, I thought I would do the same with my first official post on here. So cue this post not only being a card, but a card that fits the current Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #15 as well as being a part of this month’s PTI Blog Hop too!

I’ve never taken part in a Blog Hop before but I actually had time this month due to the long (and nearly ending!) summer holidays. I did consider participating in the blog hop on my own lil’ blog but seeing as I’m hoping a lot of PTI addicts will stop by, this site seems much more suited to it!

Now if you’re new to the idea of a blog hop – it’s just as the name suggests, no need to be literally hopping LOL! You just hop from blog to blog to see people’s creations based on a set challenge.

The PTI Blog Hop challenge this month was to create something inspired by autumn (or fall to you on the other side of the pond!). The current RSCC really screamed out autumn to me (well maybe not the pink so much as the other colours!) so I decided to multi-task and combine this with my blog hop entry too, here are this week’s colours:
And finally – here’s my creation!I hope you like it! I wanted it to represent autumnal leaves blowing through the wind. As a kid I used to (and still do!) love it when loadsa leaves are blowing towards you and you try to dodge ’em – ah the best things in life are free!

I double stamped a couple of my leaves to add more depth to the orange leaves (it’s all about the Melon Berry, Baby!)This card sums up why I ADORE PTI, the stamp sets are SO versatile that you can create nearly anything when you combine them. With PTI, the world really is your oyster – your imagination is the only limit!

Well that’s all from me now – how did I do on my first post?!

Thanks so much for hopping by – now I’m off to do a spot of hopping myself!
