Christmas cards without Christmas Stamps!

***This post comes courtesy of our Featured Stamper, Aga!***

Hello!

I’m just popping in to share one of my last Christmas cards. My passion for PTI began not so long ago and for this reason my collection of stamps is still quite modest. When I started my holiday card making season I sadly discovered that I don’t have any PTI Christmas stamps. Therefore, I’ve challenged myself to create a holiday card without any holiday stamps.

My recipe is: 1 stamp from Guide Lines set, leaves and ‘joy’ sentiment from Blooming Button Bits set, a pinch of red embossing powder, white gel pen and few silver rhinestones to decorate. I made this card using one of the sketches from Paper Craft Magazine’s “Go to Sketches” issue. I’m wondering what you think about the result:

I am enjoying my time with my family in Poland and I hope you have a great holiday time too!

Thank you for stopping by!

Mojo reviver!

This is my entry for Dawn’s current colour challenge – it helped me to find my missing Mojo lol!

First off I used my Guide Lines 1 set to make some patterned paper using Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet and Dark Chocolate inks:

Here’s the card and note holder made with the paper:

I finally got around to making one of Dawn’s distressed flowers – fun fun to make! I cut the leaves freehand and used my Scor-Pal to mark the veins, then sponged them and the flower edges.

With the left over paper I made my mum a little note holder – she never has paper by the phone for messages I thought I’d change that!

These are so simple – I just coated a coaster with Mod Podge, adhered the paper then sponged and sanded the edges. Added a strip of the paper to both sides of the bulldog clip and a touch of ribbon.

Now I can’t wait for Dawn’s next colour challenge! Thanks for visiting today!

Guide Lines trio

Hands up who thinks that Nichole Heady is one very smart cookie!! She never ceases to amaze me with her depth of ideas. Last release it was the Guide Lines Grid Cardstock – I mean, hello! What a corker!! I was veeery excited to receive some in my PTI parcel on Friday and am desparate to play, but before I do here are a few cards I made just before Easter with the Guide Lines 1 set:

I used the Guide Lines set to stamp a whole sheet of patterned paper with my current favourite colour combo – Raspberry Fizz, Summer Sunrise and Aqua Mist. I then cut it up and used it on these three cards.

Supplies:

Stamps: Cards 1 and 2 – Guide Lines/Polka Dots Basics and Tags for Spring/Card 3 – Guide Lines/Out of the Box
Ink – Summer Sunrise/Aqua Mist/Raspberry Fizz/True Black

Cardstock – Summer Sunrise/Aqua Mist/Raspberry Fizz/Kraft/Stamper’s Selec White

Ribbon – Raspberry Fizz Saddle Stich/Summer Sunrise Topnotch Twill
Other – Nestabilities/Black brads/Adhseive gem and pearls

Thanks for stopping by today and hoping everyone had a good weekend!
